Your 10 steps to transparency are great. Compared to previous investments and custodians, the combination of CAM and Rydex make it so much easier to see where our money is at, at all times, and how we’re doing compared to the major markets. And when it comes down to it, thats really all we want to know! Any question we have ever had has been answered immediately by you guys. Its no wonder that the Maryland State auditor you wrote about back in December decided to invest her money with CAM after doing her complete audit! Just wanted to say thanks.

Your sentence “However, in an effort to reflect growth, most providers choose to show the employer contribution as a portfolio gain.” as you know is absolutely true. I get so frustrated when I look at my wife’s and my 401(k) statements and they count our own contributions towards our accounts “growth” (or in this case, to offset their funds losses). They make it difficult for you to find the actual fund’s performance, and to the average employee, this is very deceiving. I am lucky in the fact that my company does match my contributions, but otherwise, the whole thing can be very frustrating. I appreciate CAM’s transparency and honesty.

In response to your web log query regarding File No. IA#2007-2674, Docket No. 2007-0628, the Order to Show Cause was issued by the State of Maryland because Custodio Asset Management’s application for registration lacked Form ADV Part II, which is more commonly known as Disclosures or Firm Brochures.

The form was immediately filed, completing the registration application in the State of Maryland. The Show Cause Order was thus satisfied.
